FS: Roamer Pasadena 734 Chrono (Val. 7734) inverse panda dial

I am offering for sale this beautiful example of a Roamer Pasadena 734 chronograph with inverse panda dial, ref. 734-9120.608. Roamer is a vintage brand that – especially in their sporty models from the late 1960s and 1970s – was particularly well known for their distinctive and brave design, high vertical range of manufacture and high-quality details. And, what’s more: Compared with many other brands from that era these models still remain surprisingly affordable and excellent value for money today.

Here comes the condition report:

Case - The bold and unusually shaped stainless steel case (container construction!) with integrated crown protection (43mm wide without / 44,7mm wide with crown, 46,8mm lug to lug 20mm lug width, hence a very modern and “manly” size) is in excellent condition with sharp edges and no serious dents or scratches. The brushing on the front might have been refreshed at some point in time, it appears almost flawless. The very sensitive caseback imprint is fully preserved with all its engravings. Crown (signed, of course) and pushers are all original.

Dial and hands - The deep-dimensional dial is in superb condition, too, with a beautiful two-tone(!) applied logo and perfectly clean white subdials. All original lume markers are fully intact and the generously applied tritium has taken on a beautiful vanilla colour, perfectly matching on dial and all-original handset. Red colour splashes and a decimal scale complete the sporty appearance of the watch. The only minor flaw is a tiny blank spot near the 83 mark on the black ring surrounding the decimal scale. (Any other darker spots visible around the decimal scale are due to the greased outer ring and absolutely normal given that specific container case construction.)

Crystal - The domed acrylic crystal is the original one with the manufacturer’s logo etched in its centre ('RW' for Roamer watch). It was buffed for perfect readability of the dial.

Movement - The hand-wound Valjoux 7734 movement was fully serviced in 09/2017 and was installed a brand new mainspring. The service receipt (EUR 211,-) comes along with the watch, of course, making this one a 100% carefree package. Consequently, timekeeping, all chronograph functions (start, stop, reset) and date work just as they should.

Strap - The watch comes on a worn but still wearable rallye leather strap with red stitching (placed close to the watch on the last picture) that nicely matches the dial colours.

Price - Given the excellent original condition and the recent movement service I am asking EUR 800,- for the watch, international insured shipping included.

Eventually, here come the pics:

The watch is located in Austria (EU) and so am I. I do have plenty of international references from various watch enthusiasts (also known here), so please feel free to ask for them.

Just for the records: I am a private collector and, therefore, the watch comes without any personal guarantee given by me (but still with the watchmaker’s invoice for the movement service, of course). Nevertheless, I am offering to give a full refund less fully insured shipping expenses in case the piece sold would not be as described by me (within an inspection period of three days and to buyers from within the EU only due to the complex customs procedure in case of an overseas deal).

Thanks for reading and thanks to the Chronotrader platform and its host!

Kind regards,
