This forum is for BUYING, SELLING and TRADING only--not for discussing watches. Please limit postings to specific ads for buying, selling or trading watches, parts or accessories that that match at least one of the following categories:

Please see our ChronoTrader Policies and Terms of Use. Learn more about How To Include Photos In Your Postings.

Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]

FSOT: Universal Geneve Polerouter Date

I’m selling my Universal Geneve Polerouter Date. The 2,3XX,XXX serial number places production of the watch to 1963-1965.

This watch benefits from the caliber 69, the last representative of the classical Microtor movements. It runs well and movement is clean.

The watch is in relatively good condition. There's light blemishing/patina to the original sunburst gold dial. Gold-plated case in good condition, looks to be unpolished – very sharp and defined Bombe/twisted lugs. There is a scratch near the lug on case at 5 o'clock. Stainless steel screw-on case back.

Of course, it should be mentioned that the crown and second hand look to be replacements, and the hour and minute hands are tipped with black, assuming making it easier to read (by a previous owner). This has been taken into consideration and therefore priced accordingly. Also, there’s an inscription to the screw-back case reading: “G.N.N. X-MAS ’70 love MUM & DAD”

Dimensions:
Case: 35mm excluding crown
Lug width: 19mm
Thickness: 10 mm (caseback to top of crystal)
Lug to lug length: 45mm

Head only - does not come with strap shown in photos, unless otherwise requested (it’s a Jones In Tokyo Epsom leather strap, same tannery where Hermes receives their leather). I’m happy to answer questions and send additional photos.

Asking $1,100 with shipping and insurance included to U.S. If outside U.S., let me know and we’ll discuss. Also, willing to consider trades and other reasonable offers. Email antonetriana@gmail.com for inquiries.

Thanks for looking!
Anthony
