Re: Traded: BUYER BEWARE: Janez Grom instagram - Vintage_Kro

Not sure how I missed your response Janez, I just stumbled across it looking for another old post of mine;

To highlight again in response, this person:

1. Traded me an omega seamaster 321 that I stupidly didn't do due diligence on, is clearly a redial (see photo below). also note that it has incorrect hands also

2. This watch had a movement that was absolutely shot - neither minutes or hours subdials worked

3. When I politely pointed these 2 above issues out to him (see original post in this thread), got no response until posting publicly on this forum. no i did not get any offer for a re-exchange back, unlike you apparently suggested above? after I searched for months i managed to find the correct hands and dial, and then get the movement fixed also

Another suggestion for everyone reading this to AVOID ANY DEALINGS with Janez Grom (aka vintage_kronos on instagram).

You live and you learn! Sometimes you just encounter dishonest people in life, a good lesson for us all to always due your due diligence even with when dealing with seemingly 'established collectors'.

BEFORE (watch I received)

AFTER (watch with correct dial and hands that I sourced)

: My dear friend,

: I can tell you that this is the last time I react to you and
: frankly put...to your blackmailing. I'll try to explain myself
: as clearly as possible since English is not my native language.

: I'm a reputable collector that worked on not only the collection of
: watches itself but also on good relations with fellow
: collectors. At the and this is what makes collecting anything
: interesting. I have many good references both here on on
: Instagram or in person whenever a personal contact is possible
: in this digital reality.

: Not only I collect watches but also motorcycles. The 4th largest
: private motorcycle museum in EU can be found here:
: www.muzej-motociklov.com and yes... these bike with all the
: restorations is my main point of interest of "collecting
: history and its artefacts".

: Of course I'm perfectly aware that you have never stopped sending
: me emails and whatsupps... I just ignore them and you are
: blocked some of my social media. You know, sometimes enough is
: enough.

: Just to pt thing in perspective I'll share my part of the story. An
: my part is also equipped with some snapshots from whatsup, since
: you selected only what suits you.

: How did our love affair start? Well we meet...on social media. I
: liked your watch and you liked mine. The agreement came quite
: fast with me sending you the Omega + $ to your bank account
: (imagine the trust!!). After, only after receiving the Omega you
: send the Breitling. You had the chance to study the watch you
: received and decide. I had only my trust in you. You actually
: sent me an message, and I quote: "...the watch looks
: magnificent!". And after this it started.

: 1- You wanted me to send you 130$ for servicing (I had to service
: the Breitling as well...but these are old stuff so...), for an
: Omega that worked perfecly when in my hands.
: 2- A couple of days later you wanted to send you 100$ for missing
: bank transfer (the cost of your bank since we had "shared
: cost" on the transaction -I paid the same here)
: 3- And the same afternoon - another 230$ for the import taxes you
: had to pay...?! (Well you might not know but we have customs
: check also here in Slovenia. I had to pay my import taxes for
: the Breilting also and NO this is not your problem. It is
: something that you just know you have to do when you commit
: import stuff)
: 5- then all of a sudden claims evolved...

: I have no intention to discuss with you anything any further so do
: not expect any further communication from me. The matter is
: closed and well buried for me. I would even consider making a
: swap back but not after you extensively touched and messed
: around with the Omega.

: My best, Janez
