This forum is for BUYING, SELLING and TRADING only--not for discussing watches. Please limit postings to specific ads for buying, selling or trading watches, parts or accessories that that match at least one of the following categories:

Please see our ChronoTrader Policies and Terms of Use. Learn more about How To Include Photos In Your Postings.

Rules: Postings must be an ad announcing an intent to sell, buy or trade. Full item description and photo(s) must be posted within the message here, not as links to other websites. Links to online auctions and other sites: Links to online auctions, dealer sites or other listings of items are permitted, but you should be careful to ensure that such listings will comply with our other ChronoTrader Policies. In addition, we request that sellers linking to online auctions or listings offer some benefit or accomodation to ChronoTrader readers (for example, some discount or an undertaking to end an auction early, to keep a watch "in the family"). Photos must be of the actual item for sale in its present condition. No counterfeit or replica products. No post for the same item may be repeated within 7 days, except to lower the asking price. Commercial dealers are limited to three unique posts per day. [More...]

FS: Omega Seamaster 300 165.024 Big Triangle $8900

 photo 00_zps8qy0jpgr.jpg

Case: The case is in very nice condition and retains original factory brushing/polishing on the lugs. There are a few dings to the bottom of the lower lugs, not visible when the watch is on the wrist. There are tiny superficial scratches, commensurate with age.

Crown: Signed screw down crown.

Caseback: Excellent condition screw down caseback with super sharp writing. Inside is marked 165.024.

Movement: Cal 552 automatic movement, which appears very clean. This watch was not serviced in my possession but has been running great. Automatic winding, manual winding, and time settling are crisp. If you intend on wearing it daily, a service is always recommended. While I did not request a full Extract, I emailed a contact at the Omega Museum who confirmed "According to the archives, the MVT number 24.7XX.XXX corresponds to a ref ST 165.024, caliber 552, production February 22, 1967."

Dial: Excellent condition with even tritium lume and pinholes at 12 and 6 o'clock. T-Swiss Made-T is written on the dial at 6 o'clock but is slightly obscured by the crystal ring (See close up photo). The dial lume tone is slightly lighter than the hands. Please see the attached video under UV light. Everything fades evenly and at a similar rate.

Bezel: Original bi-directional clicking Tritium bezel in good condition. There are are few small cracks to the bezel at 10 o'clock and just before 12 o'clock, as seen in the photos.

Hands: Original sword hands.

Crystal: Signed flat floot Omega crystal.

Bracelet: The pictured bracelet was a later replacement and is NOT included in the sale. The watch will be shipped on the nice thick leather strap from Hirsch as shown in the photo.

Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. I am happy to provide any additional photos as well if there is something you want to see.

I ran this watch by Kim, the resident Seamaster expert on Omega Forums who believes the serial number may be a bit early for the case/bezel. Therefore, I am pricing this watch below market prices at $8900 OBRO, which will include free worldwide shipping with Fedex/ParcelPro. I have plenty of references on Omega Forums under MikeMan2727.
