FS: Rare Vintage Yema North Pole Titanium Expedition Watch J. Et *PIC*

In the family with the Yema Bipôle is the Yema North Pole, a predecessor wristwatch created in 1986 to commemorate Dr. Etienne's 800 kilometer pedestrian trek to the North Pole. This is a special watch highly sought after by collectors and scarce as it was produced in limited quantity and retailed around $1500 over 30 years ago. Titanium watches were brand new at the time but the watch was special in that it was designed to withstand the elements at the North Pole. The magnetic pulls render a compass useless in that area, accordingly this watch and compass was designed to overcome that. The expedition of Jean Etienne was the inspiration. stunnng lume markers on tbe case and as raised dots on this ultra cool dial.
The titanium watch case is engraved with "J. L. ETIENNE 11 05 86 2h04 89° 999" to note the time of his arrival at the pole.
