FS: Tissot PR v516 Sonorous Alarm LOWERED PRICE

For sale from my personal collection is this hard to find Tissot Sonorous PR516 alarm watch from the 1970’s. You might know vintage alarm watches like the Vulcain Cricket and Omega Memomatic but Tissot also made these kind of watches. It has the same Icon case (36mm in diameter) as the PR 516 Chronograph but this time with 2 signed crowns (both signed).
The top crown is used for setting the alarm time (little red hand) and winding the alarm spring. When the alarm goes off you hear and feel a clear buzz.
The case is stainless steel with a double back case, the inner case is where the alarm lever beats against for the alarm, the holes are to enhance the sound.
The vertical brushing on top is intact and the watch is unpolished and in top condition.
The dial is silver with a horizontally brushed sunburst effect without any patina, the tritium lume on hands and dial has aged nicely. This watch is all original and clearly signed all over. The AS 1930 Alarm movement is very clean and was presumably recently serviced, this movement was used only between 1970-1976.

The other reason why it is hard to find a good Tissot Sonorous from the PR516 series is the plastic bezel. Most of the time it is worn, unreadable or gone missing. This bezel is in the best condition I have ever seen, the print is clearly visible, it turns like it should and it still has got all of it’s teeth.

Diameter without the crown is 36mm, with crowns 40 mm, 43,3mm length, 13mm thick, because of the form of the case it wears bigger than the numbers suggest. Lugsize is 19mm.

Service: No official service history, it keeps good time, the alarm works like it should.

My price is 295,- excl. shipping

I am not a professional watch seller and this watch is part of my private collection. Every watch is described to the best of my abilities. I consider the pictures part of the description and do not accept refunds. Please note that vintage watches are not as precise functioning and waterproof as a modern day watch. Please ask any questions beforehand and I will answer them.
