including counterfeit, replica, Frankenwatches and other fake or bastardized pieces.
Our objective here is to DISCOURAGE the sales and purchase of counterfeit
wristwatch and jewelry products. It is also for helping people identify
watches that are mostly authentic, but have been: altered for personal customization,
repaired with inappropriate parts or modified to be passed off as more valuable pieces.

'For sale' postings, commercial solicitation and ads are not allowed. Links to Internet auctions are acceptable only if their purpose is to question the authenticity of a product or provide new clues for identifying counterfeit products. Links that appear to be 'shills' promoting the sale of counterfeit products will be deleted. Links to websites of sellers of counterfeit items are not permitted -- we know they are out there and do not need to be encouraging them by sending traffic to their sites. I'm interested in buying this watch, but not quite sure exactly what it is. It has the omega symbol at the top with Omega and Automatic lettering beneath that. The crown is Omega symbol, and the case back is the seamonster and it says seamaster and has the Omega symbol on it. The inside of the case back is the reference # 166.0215 and the movement is a cal. 1021. The crystal also has a very small engraving of the Omega symbol in it's center. The band is an Omega 1287/250 s/s bracelet . My dilema is the dial, it does not say Seamaster anywhere. I'm wondering if this is a frankenwatch, or if the dial was just refinished. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
