: I bought this on Ebay. Has microinscribed
: serial number, looks good in all respects.
The photos look like a totally legit model of the blue dial, steel bezel version.
: But this site says Omega never made a seamaster
: with a black face and skeleton hands. This
: face is definitely black. If it's blue, I'm
: crazy?
As I've said to people many times and I say in the articles on this site, it can be hard for some people to perceive the difference between the Dark BlueGray of the genuine 'blue' dial and black. This is especially difficult as the white-light glare off the steel bezel and the crystal interfere with the subtle color perception needed.
Look at it under a very direct, bright light. There is some gray in the authentic dial. Those wave patterns are two-tone effect of navy blue and gray--which confuses some people who notice the gray more than the navy blue.
: Legit? Perhaps the face was swapped?
With what? Do you really think people make FAKE wrong color dials to swap with real ones on these watches? That is nonsensical.
I think the answer is simple. You can't see the color difference and are freaking out unnecessarily. Relax. I see NOTHING WRONG WITH YOUR WATCH! It looks perfectly authentic to me.
