OMEGA has done several types of Seamonster engraving over the 50+ years they've been making the Seamaster (and also using it on the back of some Speedmasters, too).
Just because the current Seamaster models use a deep engraved logo does not in any way mean that was the "regular" way they did it on every watch back several decades.
