A forum for identifying and avoiding wholly or partially non-authentic wristwatches --
including counterfeit, replica, Frankenwatches and other fake or bastardized pieces.
Our objective here is to DISCOURAGE the sales and purchase of counterfeit
wristwatch and jewelry products. It is also for helping people identify
watches that are mostly authentic, but have been: altered for personal customization,
repaired with inappropriate parts or modified to be passed off as more valuable pieces.
Including a photo of the piece you are talking about ALWAYS helps! You can learn how to post a photo here: How To Include Photos In Your Postings. 'For sale' postings, commercial solicitation and ads are not allowed. Links to Internet auctions are acceptable only if their purpose is to question the authenticity of a product or provide new clues for identifying counterfeit products. Links that appear to be 'shills' promoting the sale of counterfeit products will be deleted. Links to websites of sellers of counterfeit items are not permitted -- we know they are out there and do not need to be encouraging them by sending traffic to their sites. Bad News Fella......sorry but parts of this watch are not original. If you mail me bryan7hill@hotmail.com I will send you some info on this type of item. Don't be too alarmed though there are alot of these out there and really they aren't bad pieces.......just not all original,but i guess that really all depends on what you paid for this item. As a UK guide,these items go for anywhere between 150.00 and 400.00 depending on how good they are,an original is about 500.00 upwards again depending on what condition its in.
I am not an expert by any means,i just ended up with one of these some time ago and started on a mission to find out more about them,and what seperated them from the genuine articles. There are many self proclaimed experts out there,some nice and helpfull others rather agressive,as i said i'm not an expert,but don't be supprised if you get alot of adverse attention if you put it back on ebay !.
