: Hi there, I'm new to this game, I've just
: bought a Heuer Carrera 1964 reissue from
: ebay and I'm very happy but... This may be a
: silly question but when I pull the crown out
: the sub second hand doesn't stop, I assumed
: pulling the crown was like a break allowing
: you to set the exact time. Here is a link to
: the ebay page:
: The seller has now put upan almost identical
: watch!!
: Please put my mind at rest.... or give me the
: bad news!
Hiya Seth,
I own a pair of the reissues and a number of Lemania 1873 [the base movement for the Carrera Reissue] equipped Omega's and Tissot's and Bucherer's, etc. The Lemania 1873 is not a hacking movement, so the behaviour you're seeing is normal. You can get the movement to stop [and even count backwords] with a little back pressure on the crown. This will not hurt the watch if not done extensively, and will allow you to sync the watch with a standard time signal.
Hope this helps!
