I recently purchased a Raymond Weil Tosca model #5864S. It was hard to come by since they were discontinued. My wife went to have it size and the jeweler(jewery store chain) said that it was a gray market because the braclet had pins instead of screws, and that we should return it and they would sell us a newer model, not a Tosca, for about $300 more. Now My daughter's name is Tosca and this is one of the reasons for buying this watch. I was informed by other dealers that Raymond Weil made some upgrades to their line of watches (braclet being one of them) and that they decided to continue some of the lines ie. Don Giovanni, Othello, and drop others. Now my watch came with box, papers, credit card warranty and has the serial # on the back of the watch. Does anyone else out there have a Raymond Weil Tosca circa 2001 that has pins in the braclet and not screws or know if this was indeed a upgrade to newer models.
Thank you,
David
