: I've never seen a Seamaster like this with
: Omega symbol at the 12-o'clock high position
: ? Possible fake, or does someone happen to
: know what model this is?
The hands are not original. The case certainly looks like an omega case from the early to mid 60s. The crown could be original too.
It goes without saying that this has been refaced. I suspect that 2 of the batons were lost/damaged and an enterprising soul has decided to move the logo and omit the 9 baton.
I'd like to see the back to see if it has the seahorse, as non-seamaster Omegas and Geneve Omegas used this type of case too and it could be one of those with the word "Seamaster" printed on the face, when it is not a Seamaster.
A sight of the movement would, of course be useful but, based on it being an Omega case, I'd be relatively happy it was an Omega of some sort.
Unless it is ridiculously cheap, I'd avoid this as the indications are that it has been reconstructed from several parts and may well have seen a hard life in the past.
