Dear Brad
I have the "same" model bought at an official TAG dealer very recently with all papers as i.e. a registered number of the edition (just 5500 have been made from that style/edition). From the pictures you've provided I would say you have probably a nice watch but not a TAG of that series. It looks to my like a replica, which does not mean it is a bad watch or pure present. Having seen replicas at the Internet as well it is astonishing how much money you have to pay for that stuff, often made in Japan - which is not a bad reference for quality for watches either...
Cheers
Gerd
