Not necessarily. Seamasters over the years have had all sorts of backs. What year is this one?
The earliest ones did not have the seamonster logo, although they would have "Seamaster" and "Waterproof" etched on the back. Also, Seamasters were sold with plain presentation backs so that something could be engraved on it. Your best bet would be to ask to see the inside of the back, get the reference number and run it through a search at the Omega web site to see what turns up.
: I just saw a seamaster ss day date automatic.
: to my novice eye, it looks authentic and the

: bothers me is that the backcase does not
: have the seamonster logo. do all seamasters
: carry the seamonster logo on their
: backcases?
