: Hi all,
: although not a vintage Heuer, this Monaco came up on eBay through
: one of my weekly searches. I'm positively sure it's a fake as I
: do not recall ever seeing any CW2113's with such a dial
: (especially the chronograph section - time intervals are
: incorrect). Furthermore, hour lume markers on dials seem far too
: small. The clasp looked cheap and tacky. Regardless, this watch
: was sold for a fortune on eBay Australia. Please refer to link:
: I'm skeptical of authenticity but can someone confirm it? I feel
: rather sorry for the poor soul that thought this was a genuine
: watch and paid a mint for it.
Yes, I am amazed that someone would buy a watch for that amount, $AU1600+, which by the way is nearly $US1600 at the monent, from someone with zero sales and zero purchases, and now 18 days later still has zero feedback. I wonder what went wrong?!! I am not in a position to comment too much on the watch, but compared to my Tag Monaco WW2110-0's bracelet, this one is a bit light. Fortunately, I have been lucky with my EBay purchases, though I do my homework. You can learn a lot from what people have bought and sold in the past. First place I look.
