There is a good review and pictures of the watch and its varieties at http://www.onthedash.com/thoughts/2446c-and-2446c-gmt/. A significant point in the article is the remark that the model changed from year to year. An indication that the watch is genuine is the discolouration of the tritium paint on the end of the hands and the numeral markers - these are as you would expect. Also looking at the strap, it seems to be sufficiently worn as to confirm the watch's age.
Looking at the seller on eBay, he is a private person who has sold and bought the normal things albeit not that often and not as expensive - that said, he is not a buyer and seller of rubbish.
