One question is, "Are the case, band and face genuine or counterfeit?"
If the problem was with the band, it is very unlikely that Walter Gooden would have had to look at the movement.
Service Centres usually work with $X to fix the band and $Y to have a look at the movement. Likewise, even under warranty, I doubt he would have looked at the movement unless you asked him to, as I assume he bills Omega for the work and Omega would not pay for something not asked for.
Nevertheless, has Walter Gooden records of the service? Phone him and ask. Ask if he would look at the movement under warranty if only the band needed fixing.
