I bought mine from Keith Downing's authorized dealer. Keith is a regular on Omega forum. At the time I bought it was available on few internet dealer's sites. It gradually has got rare.
Omegamatic supposed to have six days power
reserve. Once I checked until day four then I
forgot to continue monitoring. I got few Omegas,
I often rotate them. Problem with Omegamatic is
mainly rumor. It started with Seiko kinetic. Early batch of Seiko Kinetic had some problems, so many thought Omegamatic will have the same. But I'm yet to see someone come up with
real proof. Mine is working well for two years.
If you like mid size auto-quartz watch and if price is right, go for it. Be part of history. I don't think Omega will make such movement in near future.
