Counterfeit Watchers Discussion Forum

A forum for identifying and avoiding wholly or partially non-authentic wristwatches -- including counterfeit, replica, Frankenwatches and other fake or bastardized pieces. Our objective here is to DISCOURAGE the sales and purchase of counterfeit wristwatch and jewelry products. It is also for helping people identify watches that are mostly authentic, but have been: altered for personal customization, repaired with inappropriate parts or modified to be passed off as more valuable pieces.

Including a photo of the piece you are talking about ALWAYS helps! You can learn how to post a photo here: How To Include Photos In Your Postings. 'For sale' postings, commercial solicitation and ads are not allowed. Links to Internet auctions are acceptable only if their purpose is to question the authenticity of a product or provide new clues for identifying counterfeit products. Links that appear to be 'shills' promoting the sale of counterfeit products will be deleted. Links to websites of sellers of counterfeit items are not permitted -- we know they are out there and do not need to be encouraging them by sending traffic to their sites. Privacy, additional policies and administrivia are covered in the Terms of Use.

This Omega is on a 17 hour post as of 7:30pm 6-2-04. Let me know if you want pictures or how to post the pictures. I don't know how to post an image URL from my hard drive (Apple OS 10.3.4) I can e-mail them...

Included is the text of the e-bay post:

First so you know this is a 100% authentic OMEGA. This watch was only manufactured for about 2 years..This Men's Omega Stainless Steel is a super cool watch you get the best of both worlds. This watch is in about 90% condition that means 10% of the band life has been used. What I mean by the best of both worlds is this watch has an automatic movement you can wind it or as long as you where it the watch winds itself. If you don?t where the watch it has a backup movement that is quartz if you don?t where it the quartz movement kicks in and the watch still runs perfectly and doesn?t loose time very cool. As with most of my watches I have all the booklets, boxes and papers shown below. At this price you can?t go wrong. I have had many many Omega?s and this is the best one I have had in years. Look at this Omega and ask yourself is this beautiful and does it make the ultimate STATEMENT? This watch is in True great Condition just waiting for a wrist. This is a Super Hot item for Summer and will Sell Quickly.
