Counterfeit Watchers Discussion Forum

A forum for identifying and avoiding wholly or partially non-authentic wristwatches -- including counterfeit, replica, Frankenwatches and other fake or bastardized pieces. Our objective here is to DISCOURAGE the sales and purchase of counterfeit wristwatch and jewelry products. It is also for helping people identify watches that are mostly authentic, but have been: altered for personal customization, repaired with inappropriate parts or modified to be passed off as more valuable pieces.

Including a photo of the piece you are talking about ALWAYS helps! You can learn how to post a photo here: How To Include Photos In Your Postings. 'For sale' postings, commercial solicitation and ads are not allowed. Links to Internet auctions are acceptable only if their purpose is to question the authenticity of a product or provide new clues for identifying counterfeit products. Links that appear to be 'shills' promoting the sale of counterfeit products will be deleted. Links to websites of sellers of counterfeit items are not permitted -- we know they are out there and do not need to be encouraging them by sending traffic to their sites. Privacy, additional policies and administrivia are covered in the Terms of Use.

Welcome to the Upgraded Forums ! ! !

We would like to welcome everyone back, to the new and improved Chronocentric Discussion Forums. Click the Sticky (the alarm clock, at the top of the lsi of messages), for an overview of the features of the Chronocentric Forums.

Rather, than posting any sort of description of all the new features, let me suggest that our readers may want to post some Messages and Replies, to get the look and feel of the new Forums. So go ahead and try it out; play with the formatting and features; if needed, we can clean up the Forums after a couple of days of the testing / playing.

Special thanks to Steve and Sam (our Moderators) and to Rainer (of TetraBB software), for all the work on the upgrade. It was an amazing, inspiring, educational experience!!

Readers: please let us know what you think of the new look and features. Also, please tell us about any other features that you might like to see. It took six years to do this upgrade, but we are already planning the next upgrade, in six to eight weeks. The key part of this next upgrade will be a feature allowing readers (who have Profiles) to upload photos, from their own computers directly to the Forums (with no need for Internet hosting).

Thanks again for your enthusiasm (as well as your patience over the past few weeks)!!

Jeff
