A forum for identifying and avoiding wholly or partially non-authentic wristwatches --
including counterfeit, replica, Frankenwatches and other fake or bastardized pieces.
Our objective here is to DISCOURAGE the sales and purchase of counterfeit
wristwatch and jewelry products. It is also for helping people identify
watches that are mostly authentic, but have been: altered for personal customization,
repaired with inappropriate parts or modified to be passed off as more valuable pieces.
Including a photo of the piece you are talking about ALWAYS helps! You can learn how to post a photo here: How To Include Photos In Your Postings. 'For sale' postings, commercial solicitation and ads are not allowed. Links to Internet auctions are acceptable only if their purpose is to question the authenticity of a product or provide new clues for identifying counterfeit products. Links that appear to be 'shills' promoting the sale of counterfeit products will be deleted. Links to websites of sellers of counterfeit items are not permitted -- we know they are out there and do not need to be encouraging them by sending traffic to their sites. I don't usually like posting fake stuff, but I thought I should warn you about a new fake that I've just noticed.
After the pics I'll list some of the differences that I've noticed.
- Wrong center second hand
On the case back...
- the Fake has a screw case back & it should be a snap.
So there are quite a few differences, I'm sure you can find some more.
If you're in the market for one of these, now or in the future, you might want to remember some of these points.
Be careful out there.

Hi Guys,
- Date hand has the wrong colours ( should be black with a white tip)
- the windows in the 12:00 sub-dial should be white writing on a black background.
- the left window in the 12:00 should be the DAY & not the YEAR
- The single hand in the 09:00 subdial is the wrong shape ( & there should be 2 hands in that subdial ! )
- the pushers are the wrong shape
- the crown is smooth & has no ridges !
- The centre section should be flat.
- The "World Champion 2002" text should be radial & not straight.
- The limited edition number should be radial & not straight.
- The Signature is NOT the same !
