Dear On The Dash community,
I am contacting you over a question regarding the movement of my Heuer Carrera 1153, Cal 11.
I have noticed that the engraving on the movement bridge has been changed from Cal 11 to Cal 12 - the original engraving has been erased and Cal 12 has been engraved instead. The engraving itself does not seem to be newly made, to me it is more likely it has been made over time. All other parts of the watch are genuine and the patina on all parts looks as if the watch is not an assembled one, but a genuine and complete one. Please find some images attached below.
Does anyone have a clue why this has been made? Especially since it obviously is a Cal 11 movement. I just can't figure it out.
I am looking forward to your replies. Thanks in advance! Klaus
