The way I see it is that it is a really nice vintage styling influence on their modern watch line. In my opinion it’s by far the coolest model of their F1 line. So it’s nice the Heuer history infuses more the modern watch line.
However, it is not a heritage model so not much point regretting it is not a 1:1 recreation of a vintage Autavia. That would be fun, and other manufacturers have done it, but I don’t think that’s the objective of the watch.
Nice progress for TAG Heuer in their design, and that’s great. But having said that, I’ll stick to my pre-1985 Heuers...
