Hi Scott-I think we spoke briefly about the Camaro on IG in April?
Overall it looks in very good condition and in no way should anything be polished or tampered with externally! Certainly the movement can be serviced and the case CLEANED but, again, NOT polished. The crystal seems to be Ok too from what I can see.
In the UK and for me, this should only really go to Richard Askham at http://thewatchspotblog.com/. There are 2 others very highly regarded too-
Nic Green http://chronomatic.com/home.html
Stefan https://vintagewatchfever.co.uk/
although I've personally only used Richard so far though.
Hope that helps!
Best, Steve
: I recently purchased a Heuer Camaro, dated from the late 60s. It
: works fine but needs some love, the case is scratched and I
: would like it fully serviced, as I don't believe it has been for
: some time.
: Can anyone tell me what a full service would involve? For example,
: should the case be polished, or might that take some of the
: original features away? and if there is a good independent who
: can service a watch of this vintage in the UK?
