Hi, I am looking for any help I can get as I know little about Heuer and Leonidas, but I stumbled upon a very pretty watch at what I think is a reasonable price, but I am concerned it has had many parts changed. The watch I found is branded Heuer on the dial, while the movement is branded Heuer-Leonidas. I assume that simply means the watch dates back to the first few years post merger of these 2 brands (early 1960s)? The watch I am looking at is very similar to the one shown in the link below (see "Similar Watch"), but the inner swirl is blue, the case is gold and the second hand is red. Aside from this one photo, I have not been able to find any similar examples on the Internet. Almost none. The gold case, as well as the red second hand, seem odd to me, hence, I am a bit weary. Price is also about $1400 USD and I would have thought these watches go for more. The condition seems to be OK, not too bad. Seller says he knows nothing about the watch.
