I Need to Have Another Look at All this

News of the Haig Alltounian Monaco was a great surprise, but I need to go back through some postings and notes, to see whether we have a complete, coherent story.

We know that six blue Monacos went from Heuer to Le Mans in June 1970, for use in the filming, but I am not sure anyone would say that there were "only six" at Le Mans.

We will dig in again and see whether there is a coherent story.

: The coming sale of the Haig Alltounian’s Monaco received from
: Steve McQueen has reminded couple of differences with what has
: been published in OTD years ago.
: On one hand, we have the chart describing the story of the six
: 1133b and the description of Michael Clerizo in the Wall Street
: Journal article “The Hunt of McQueen’s Heuers”.
: On the other hand, we have a story of the six 1133b Monaco’s with
: 2 references (Mon05 and Mon06) which doesn’t match with the
: chart mentioned above.

: If the story of the two models purchased by the DeVos family is
: confirmed and since we have two models which have been engraved
: with the names of Haig A. and Maher–Brongesse, we are left
: with 2 models with different stories. Given to M. Ledermann for
: one and given to Nunley’s friend and then sold to Eisenberg
: for the other. This is in contradiction which what has been
: published in “onthedash.com/heuers-in-le-mans” where the
: last two would have been given to the driver H. Kelleners and
: the mechanic B. Weston.

: On October 28, 2020, OTD has published “McQueen and his Monaco”
: confirming the story included in the original chart. Could we
: conclude that we have today enough evidences to disregard the
: stories of Mon05 and Mon06 published on April 3, 2014 ?
