I recently bought a very clean Heuer Carrera 2447D that had been tucked away since the 1960s. I bought it from the original owner's son. The father had this bracelet custom made in Texas specifically for the watch and discarded the original. I am always fascinated when I can see how these watches were actually worn in the '60s, with all the fussing we do to get bracelets to be original.
Thanks for reading. Maybe some of you have your own similar stories? Bill
