Dear Friends
I hope you can help me with som advise.
I found this watch from my father and need advise in what to do with it. I have contacted HEUER in Switzerland and received a restoration proposal. But it is a lot of money. The main question is; should I sell the watch as it is och should I pay the money to get a professsional restoration and sell it after that and get my money back.
The watch is:
HEUER REF. 2447 ca 1942
Movement calibre 72
Serial no. 71505
Silver dial, 3 silver counters, Arabic numerals, minute scale on the rim
Fixed polished bezel
Nothing is done with it for at least 30 years and it is well used but still running.
