I like patina / natural aging as much as the next guy, but to my eye this Autavia appears to be "too far gone." In particular, the registers (sub-dials) seem to have suffered considerable damage.

If this watch appeals to you, I can understand your considering buying it. My only caution is that if and when the time comes to sell the watch, you may have a very limited audience for a watch in this condition. A lot of people prefer mint or near mint condition, and they would stay away from this watch.

Of course, if you like the looks and are not concerned about the prospect of selling it, then you should go for the watch. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and if you like the looks, that's what really matters.
