Sorry no Calculator Instructions... However...

Calculator Instructions *PIC* Posted By: Tom Marcano Date: 10/29/05 18:01 GMT

Anybody have scans of the original instructions for the bezel slide rule on the vintage Calculator?

Sorry, I don't...

Failing that, any advice?

Yes, the instructions I posted yesterday for the Gallet Excel-o-Graph, based on David Alstott's scans should be helpful. As should the TAG-Heuer Chrono Pilot Instructions I posted last month based on a manual graciously loaned by Brian Cantor.

Doesn't seem to operate on the same principal as the Navitimer's, but then again, I never did use one in school (math gives me hives), so what do I know?

Actually the Calculator's Whiz Wheel should operate in a very similar fashion to a Breitling Navitimer. You might find additional information on Jean-Michael's Navitimer.net website. Tell him we sent you!

Thanks in advance, T.

If you have questions after reading the links above, please feel free to post a follow-up. The key to understanding Whiz Wheels is to think of numbers as fractions: 1/1 = 1, 15/1 = 15 (or 1.5), 2/1 = 2, etc. Whiz Wheels are great for multiplication, division, conversions (foreign currency, english/metric, etc.) and proportions, they can't easily be used for addition or subtraction as the scales are logarithmic in nature.

Once you've learned how to use one and become comfortable with it's use, you might find it difficult to wear a watch which doesn't have one!
