In this second version, with polished steel hands, the earlier ones had plain polished steel hands with luminous inserts; the later ones had polished steel hands with luminous inserts, and also dark (black / blue) inserts, between the luminous and the center pinion.

you are correct: there are three major version of the Siffert (Autavia Reference 1163T; Cal 11 / 12 automatic, with Tachy Bezel; white dial; black registers; blue trim). First version (very rare) was marked "Chronomatic"; second had the polished steel hands; third had the brushed steel hands. (see the OnTheDash page that covers this, inked below).
: Right is the model, which I would call the
: transition Jo Siffert. Tha hands have the
: same form and style as with the older one
: (left) but do have blue inlays at the
: beginning of the hands. The tip of the hands
: is non blue.
: Its the second time I hold such a Siffert in my
: hands: Any thoughts on that?
