: recently on ebay i saw a 2446c gmt for a lowish
: buy it now price. it's already sold so i
: figured it would be okay to discuss it now?
: anyways, it appeared to be almost nos....i mean
: a bezel with no scratches! really
: fantastic...the only flaw i saw....and i
: should say i'm not 100% sure it is a flaw?
: is the movement, a valjoux 724, wasn't
: signed heuer/leonidas at all?
: here's what i'm curious about....if one had a
: signed bridge..and was able to put it on
: this unsigned movement...would it really
: matter? i mean, all valjoux 724's should be
: near equal, shouldn't they? did heuer do any
: modifications, to their's that a generic val
: 724 wouldn't have?
: so what's your take on this issue...if the
: movement isn't a "heuer" does it
: ruin the watch....even if you were able to
: replace the bridge with a signed one?
: assuming of course that the bridge could be
: replaced?
: in a strange way i'm weary of it...i mean
: logically it shouldn't matter at all...but
: this isn't exactly a logical hobby.
: as always, thanks for any
: opinions/insights/etc!

Hi J.H.
No Insights/etc ,But a opinion.
No: Heuer in these years did nothing differant.
But the bridge must be "finished" in the same way and direction as all the plates on the movement.
All V.J. 72/ 724s are the same but not near equal. Patek Phillippe 72s are a stunning and masterful. Older Rol-x are also finished very nicely. To see all V.J.72 in every watch thay will not be of a high rate of finish, But there are some who finish them like thay should be. and I am sorry to say Our Favorite tool watch company did not use a high rate of finish work on them.
