More Jimmy references!
In Response To: Jimi, yes, that is perfect ()

So I guess 'Cross Town Traffic' refers to the constant seconds hand???

I have a blue Cal.15 that has just received a NOS dial. The finish on the dials is weird because out of the case the dial is light blue. In the case at 45% it is mid blue and ' head on' the dial is so dark it's almost black. Maybe your crystal is effecting the colour and the dial is actually blue?

Anyway cool watch!

PS. My cal.15 blue dial is not "Common"!! It is quite well heeled!!

Regards

Alistair

: That is just perfect Jeff. You are right, the
: more I think about the more clear it is that
: he actually wrote the song about this watch:
: Purple haze all in my brain
: Lately things just don’t seem the same
: Actin’ funny, but I don’t know why
: ’scuse me while I kiss the sky

: The "kiss the sky" aspect is
: obviously a reference to the UV/sunlight
: driven fading. It's so obvious now I don't
: know why I didnt see it before.

: Also I find it a bit of a coincidence that this
: record was issued on a 33 rpm LP which is
: obviously a reference to Tool 33.

: It is all making sense now.

: PS...actually I am not so sure it is faded
: because the white of the lettering is pretty
: bright - could that be the case if faded? I
: agree the Daytonas go weird, but in that
: case does the white stay white or fade?
