Re: Info on the Mareographe
In Response To: Info on the Mareographe ()

Hello, Jeff and all,

My father in law has a Heuer Mareographe Autavia exactly like the one pictured in your message, which he purchased in Germany in around 1970.

I've seen the instructions for the Seafarer you've uploaded (thanks!), but, in the Mareograph I cannot find the "little button on the outer edge of the watch " ("Using a pin or end of a paper clip depress the little button on the outer edge of the watch time after time, until the Lunar Dial, which is moved by this button, registers the correct Tidal phase or Solunar Period")

Help, please?

Thanks, regards,
JL Balcells

: Mareographe is the Heuer version of the

: described in some detail here .

: The Heuer Mareographe was introduced around

: From time to time, I have seen mention of Heuer
: Mareographes from the 1950's, but I have
: only seen them in the 2446C case, shown
: above (which dates from around 1968-1970).

: Click here to see instructions for the

: how the Mareographe works.

: Thanks for the question.
