In general, yes; ref number one side, serial the other side. Some exceptions like the later 11063 models which had (I think) generic 11063 ref between the lugs and a specific ref (like 113.603) on the case back. Not sure all the very early preautomatic models had ref numbers inscribed, some of the esperts will have to answer.
