it's all a matter of personal taste and preferences, but I am curious about the appeal of putting the usual elements (hands and date) in such weird places. The one on the right is fairly conventional (three hands on a center pinion, date at the bottom and moon over to the side), but why do they have the power reserve indicator dominate the dial?? I mean, how often do you need to check this particular gauge? The watch on the left would give me a headache -- why put everything off-center? I mean, why even make the case round, if every element is to be out-of-round?

I know that these are very fine watches, with many dedicated followers of the brand, but the designs just do not appeal to me. of course, some might say the same about our beloved Monacos and Carreras!!
