Advice for starter collector Posted By: Carl S. Date: 3/7/06 07:11 GMT
I have one 90's Tag Heuer, and would like to find a vintage Heuer chronograph from the 60's or 70's. There are a lot of fine examples in the photos from previous posts on the board, and I'm looking for advice on finding a nice watch of my own.
Do you find them at jewelers or ebay?? I've heard watch shows are a good place to find them, but not having any luck finding them online. Here are a couple of articles you can read to get an idea of where to start:Seeking a Moonwatch for my ... Written by myself. - Collecting 120 -- How to Sell a Watch (Part One) -- In this article, we discuss the collector's "Unspeakable Act" -- selling a watch. We help with such issues are determining whether to sell, selecting the market in which you will sell, describing your watch, preparing the watch and taking the photographs that will support your effort. - Also I provide a list of watch collecting related links on my website which include dealer links, informational website links, and even canned eBay search links. It exists to serve me, and I do realize that many of the links are broken -so little time to fix them-, but if it serves others, that's great too!
Any suggestions, advice, hints are most appreciated. I hope this is helpful! |
