Beautiful watch and beautiful story Stewart...
Can I translate it in italian...and show the photos into an Italian watches discussion forum?
Thanks...
Andrea...
: Thanks Jeff for posting this story, one I felt
: was worth telling to the OTD crew.
: Advice: be very careful if you are storing a
: NOS watch. If you look carefully at the rear
: of case/on the box pic a miniscule amount of
: the paper caseback sticker came away when I
: had the watch stored in the red box on the
: pillow- I took the "flat" rear of
: case pic when I first received the package.
: So, when storing, wrap the watch with
: greaseproof paper, and don't have the
: caseback in contact with anything. Some sort
: of moisture reducer (those silicone packets
: are good) is worth putting in with your NOS
: watch.
: Fortunately in this case it is really small and
: in no way detracts from the overall pristine
: NOS condition of the watch or the caseback
: sticker.
: It is as safe as houses now that it's stored
: properly and in an underground vault in a
: bank in the city!
: Enjoy.
: Cheers
: Stewart.
