I've been asked to find the 'fair' value of a Chronosplit2 for a friend who is about to sell his, and I wondered if there were any helpful opinions amongst you fine knowledgeable fellows!
I noticed the one on eBay, which needs attention and wondered how inflated their suggestion of a $2500 - $3500 price tag was (The £80.00 bid will no doubt be a disappointment to them!).
The watch in question is the lcd/led version, which works perfectly. He has had it from new (1975) but cannot find the box etc. (I told him to look harder!).
Would the best advice be to put it on eBay? Have any of you sold one of these watches 'mail order' and if so, how do you get around the problem of them 'conking out' without warning? I can see this being a problem unless you actually have it in your hands and see for yourself that it works perfectly!
Over to you guys - don't pull your punches!
