AMAZING!! Yesterday, I heard of one of our readers receiving a note that the sender of the e-mail had a Black Monaco PVD available for sale . . . WOW!! exactly like the one Stewart was selling, and this one would be cheaper. What good luck!! Only a few made, and this guy was sending out e-mails to all the bidders offering another one for sale. YEH, RIGHT!!
Now someone has listed a "Heuer Carrera Monaco" on ebay (Item # 2661400253), with 36 bids on the auction, so of course we also have someone offering Carrera Monacos privately?? This seems to be almost automated in many instances. You bid on an expensive Heuer, and soon you receive the offer of another one, exactly like it, but at a lower price. The offer is always from a stranger, but one with good ebay feedback.
These guys seem stupid, but they must be clever enough to steal from some innocent ebay bidders and to avoid ending up in jail.
This is becoming an epidemic. Be careful and keep posting these warnings for our readers.
