Jeff,
I looked at the images of your movement and foud it remarkable because it has features of both Valjoux calibres 71 & 72. For example, the hour recording switch is on the dial side, which is indicative of the 71, yet the hammer and operating lever appear to be from a 72. My guess is it is an early 72. The best way to tell is by measuring the movement. The 72 is 13 lignes and the 71 is 14 lignes or 29.32mm and 31.58mm respectively.
