Re: Service for a Carrera?
In Response To: Service for a Carrera? ()

: I know this is probably a very dead horse, but
: I'm looking for suggestions on where to send
: my 1964 re-edition Carrera for service in
: the US. Is LMVH pretty much the only game in
: town? What about Precise Time in Southfield
: MI (found them on the web)? I'd like to
: avoid a 2 month turnaround if possible...
-------------------------------

My 2cents;
Is there a problem with it?
If not it really is a good sealed case with good modern Syn. oils used. and I do not think it warrants a service as its not to old?
How long have you worn it?
Rememeber, everytime a screw is turned by someone there is chance for damage and or scratched up plates and screws.
Dont get me wrong. If it needs it buy all means do it. But the service times some folks still use are to often for modern cased watches.

My 2cents no need for 2 to 5 year service on a good working watch.
