It is possible. Cots for an Autavia are at 150 euro. For the Carrera its probably close to 200 euro as it is the more trixky case with the small ring on the beeing polished whilst the rest is brushed
Alex
: Hello,
: I've had conflicting advice recently about
: whether it's possible to restore the case of
: an over-restored (ie polished) Heuer Carrera
: 1153N to its original brushed state; several
: watchmakers I've been to have told me that
: it's not possible because the bezel was
: pressed on the case at the factory (&
: therefore cannot be removed to enable the
: case to be put under a lathe) but I've also
: been told that this bezel can in fact be
: removed quite easily. I'm unwilling to let
: someone have a go at doing this unless I'm
: pretty sure that they'll be able to remove
: the bezel without damaging the case, so any
: advice on this subject would be very welcome
: indeed!
: Thank you,
: Kayne.
