Jeff I now can say it.
I beleave what you think is true about the guy who sold it.( I do not know who sold It)

He is one of those Kitchen table Butchers that call them selfs a watchmaker. (Gives us a bad name)!!!!
You posted this watch before with the movement shots. I did not want to say anything then. But since you thought that this was the case
I do too!! Who ever worked (damaged) on it should of never opened the back of it!!! As we saw in the photos this guy did not even know how to sharpin his tools. Who ever was in it it was a butcher.

I am glad you saved it and have a nice fine good time keeper now.
