I have been monitoring the prices for Valjoux 72 Carreras the last 5-6 and cannot make any sense out of it. Focusing on the silver on silver dial version: In May one went for Euro 2300 ( approx. USD 3100,-), In June one for Euro 1500,- , another one for 1700,-. Then in August one for Euro 2100,- and now one for Euro 3000,-.I do not see any consistent trend yet, apart that they seem to become more popular.
Would buyers start focusing again on watches with a dignified, simple design in contrast to the many present ones with too many, trendy ornaments and oversized cases? If that is the case, prices maybe eventually stay on these higher levels.
A thing which surprises me is that the all black versions of the Valjoux 72 version hardly appears on E-bay. Can anybody tell me the reason for that?
Have a good one
