The question posed is an interesting one. Having owned many rare Rolex watches, I feel I might have some insight I can share regarding this issue. The J-C Killy Rolex is a nice looking watch, one major problem for me with selecting this vintage Rolex Chronograph-Day-Date watch is that Rolex will no longer service these watches. As an everyday wear watch, it would not be practical because of parts availability. If you are spending 50K-250K then I would recommend buying a Patek Perpetual Calendar Chronograph. My favorites are the 3970 in Rose Gold, or the
current production 5970 in Rose Gold. Both are beautiful watches, Patek will service anything they have ever produced and they have a long history of producing complicated watches that appreciate over time. Bob
