Heuer Pasadena 280 GX Question

Posted By: Eric

Date: 11/2/06 22:02 GMT

I have a Heuer Pasadena 750-501 280 GX PVD that I have owned since new.

I have seen other Pasadena models usually referred to as 280 SL.

What is the difference between the SL and the GX?

This is the first time I've heard of a GX model...

In Response To: Heuer Pasadena 280 GX Question (Eric)

This is the first time I've heard of a GX model... I don't know what the difference is or could be. Would you be able to post some pictures (or email them and I'll host/post) so I can do some side by side comparisons?

Thanks in advance!

It is PVD black with a black kinda smooth bracelet and it says Pasadena under the date window on the the dial.

I do not have a pic of the back of the case on hand..

It says 750-501 and 280GX under it.

It also says 7750 Chrono-Automatic

All Stainless Steel

Incabloc

Waterresistant

Swiss Made

Ok, here's a picture of my two PVD Pasadena (and Pasadena styled non-Pasadena) 7750's:

The only thing I see that might be notably different is that it looks like maybe the shape of the GX's case might be a little different... It almost looks like there is a definate "cleveage" or physical indent on the case between the raised part of the case (that meet's the crystal) instead of a smooth concave surface. This concave-ness is illustrated fairly well in this Tourneau OD 5100 model:

Eric, does the raised part of your Pasadena's case have a smooth transition like the one's I've pictured or does it look different? I can't tell if I'm imagining this or it's a photographic illusion or is actually something there... Need your help!
