Your welcome. Yes, there are many incorrect and tampered with Heuer and Heuer Leonidas SA on the market. These are the FrankenHeuers. This has been one of the goals of the Forum and OTD. To present a knowledgeable group of collectors to give their opinions and help each other. Also to assist and guide the novice collector. This makes better Heuer Collecting for all involved. Good collecting, Charles.
Now that was a good response. in any case,
: there seem to be plenty of heuer leonidas sa
: on the web. are these all mis
: representations ?
: could it be a chrono that was re issued in the
: sixties (based on an old leonidas design?) a
: bit like the new monaco and carrera which
: now carry the tag heuer logo rather than
: just the heuer? if this is the case, would
: the models be documented somewhere, after
: all the aero which uses the same movement as
: this lists at US$4500!! hardly an
: inexpensive or worthless piece.
: ps : thanx for your eloquent and obviously well
: reasoned response (unlike brains
: statement!).
