Non chrono Carrera re-issue

I have a Carrera re-issue which I bought on a whim about 10 to 15 years ago. It has non perforated leather strap, and automatic movement,no chrono, a convex plexiglass on the face and a steel back. The strap has a buckle and the face is just marked Heuer with no mention of Tag.

I'm trying to identify this watch as it is something I cherish but seldom wear due to the plexiglass being quite delicate. I love it's simplicity.

I can find no mention of such a watch on the net and therefore don't really know what it is! Any advice would be much appreciated.
